Targets

A target tells a category how much to assign each month.

Monthly

Monthly is a fixed amount to assign every month. Money left at the end of the month stays in the category, ready to spend. Next month assigns the same amount.

Fill up to

Keep the category topped up to the target each month. Money left over counts toward the next month, so that month asks for less. If more than the target is still there, Auto-Assign can return the extra to Ready to Assign.

Save by date

Reach the target by a future month. ZxBudget splits what is still needed across the months up to that date. The date is a month, not a day.

Snooze

Snooze silences the underfunded reminder for a month without deleting the target. Auto-Assign skips a snoozed category. The target is still there when the snooze ends.

Auto-Assign

On the Budget tab, Auto-Assign can fill this month’s categories from the targets you set. The main action is one tap, and it opens a preview before anything changes. You still choose whether to apply it. Other actions sit beside that one.
